The purpose of the society is to improve, enhance and preserve the natural qualities of Tabor Lake and its environs and to promote recreation and use for all. These include but are not limited to:

1) Weed control
2) Clean up of weeds
3) Enhance water quality
4) Improve fish habitat
5) Education concerning pollution and control
6) Monitoring of the lake including phosphate levels, trophic status and coliform levels.

Operations and Bylaws of the Tabor Lake society The society operates according to the bylaws of schedule B of the Society Act (RSBC 1996) as filed using form 1 in March 1990.
